Giant Steps is the 4th level pack and is the sequel to Stepping Up.
The board dimensions are 3×3 larger than Stepping Up – Stepping Up goes from 5×5 to 9×9, while Giant Steps starts at 8×8 to 12×12. This does leave some overlap – but we introduce more variations of the step pattern in the designs and include bridges on some level, so the start doesn’t feel any easier than the end of Stepping Up.
Giant Steps also introduces the “split step” pattern – instead of 1 set of steps that goes from one corner to the opposite, in this pattern there are two smaller sets of steps. We think it makes it a major “step up” from Stepping Up in terms of difficulty – especially once you reach the 10×10 and larger boards!
