Outside the Box is the 5th level pack in the game and like Jagged Edges features corner shadows.
Unlike Jagged Edges the designs are based on 1 shared pattern across the 5 different board sizes with some minor variations within each size.
We liked the pattern because of the familiarity – we get to see the good old square. The relatively small board sizes and familiar looking square centers are deceiving: this pack is one of the toughest in the game.
It’s particularly easy to make a wrong assumption in the dark sectors and get stuck on a level. Hint mode can save a lot of frustration here. Be warned, the last 30 levels – where the board size jumps to 12×12 from 10×10 are particularly brutal.
There is no shame in going onto other packs if this seems too difficult. You’ll rise up the total score a lot quicker if you play Towers and/or Pyramids before this one.
