The experiment with fixing the phantom dots bug is over.
This set and 1 level/2 images from the 101×99 gallery are all that survived.
The new color palette saved the set – otherwise I wouldn’t have had enough motivation to finish it.
That being said – it wasn’t a total disaster. For 3x the processing speed, I got a solid 1/3rd of a normal set, with 17 images compared to the 50 or so images of the last few sets. To be fair, of the 16 levels I chose for the gallery, only 1 has multiple images. This is mainly due to manual line edits: every single image here had line edits done within my program.
